  1. Nonsense. Bernie is toast.
A bet for you. If Bernie wins I will contribute $5 to Canada's NDP. If he loses you contribute 2 quid to the UK Tory party. We on?

  3. Bernie won the Michigan primary. Hillary got more Michigan delegates. Tough to beat a woman like that.

    2. So the current delegate count is about 1,221 for Shillary and 571 for Bernie. Most of Shillary’s lead (458) comes from ... superdelegates.

    3. The parties are broken in opposite ways. The democrats are an autocratic disciplined machine, the gop are blown about by every passing fancy, with no central core.

  4. Does Bernie have the moral courage to condemn the riot in his name in Chicago? I'm betting not.

    1. I would hope he will, Ken B, because that was utterly disgraceful and disgusting.

I despair of both the left and right. Very disillusioning.

    2. Sometimes I think Europe will be driven into some kind of fascism again, given how unendingly catastrophic the EU and neoliberalism is there.

    4. Keep your eyes on the German state elections this weekend: Alternative for Germany (AfD) may well win about 10-20% of the vote in 3 states. Actually all quite predictable -- given the migrant crime wave and soaring unpopularity of Merkel's open door. The Turks are supposed to get visa-free travel to Europe by June this year. How will that go down?
